It seems like a never ending story. now, after having postponed the festival three times while being and staying sold out (95), we are forced to move it again to a new date. that new date will be in August 2022.
as we are all in the same boat, we want to give you some insights to better understand the current frustrating situation:
first as a non-negotiable fact, we will NOT get a permission by the local authorities. Croatian government has recently tightened up event regulations stating a maximum allowance of 1000 people paired with 3G green pass measures. the government is currently in the process of tightening measures even more to the point where a complete halt for events and festivals is in the realm of possibility. as infection figures are expected to rise, the focus is (quite understandably) on non-party tourism. our area Istria itself has substantially stronger regulations than the rest of Croatia’s coastline, again for adequate reasons: safeguarding the remaining main tourist season in August while avoiding bad Covid-related media coverage in Austria & Germany where most tourists come from.
in addition what’s not to comprehend is that UK tourists are still allowed to enter the country to party at events in the south of Croatia, just not adequately tested. events are still happening there with low hygiene measures. nothing more to comment on this as it is just frustrating to see how our intentions are being destroyed by happenings we cannot influence. in the end, it does not turn around the tide of events that we have an innovative ready-to-go maximum safety concept (fully digitalised 5 days PCR bubble linked to Austrian labs) - conceived with our partner testFRWD - in a country where almost no PCR testing infrastructure exists.
nevertheless, after being invested for more than 2.5 years in stop & go production, rising non-refundable costs (like booking fees for artists, guarantee amount to hold the accommodations, a team that cannot just work for nothing ecc.) our feelings right now are that it is the right decision to move LHF again. what matters most is the safety of our guests, artists and the crew. with our decision we take responsibility and aim to stand out from other promoters who just don’t care about all of this.
having said that, we apologize for breaking the news this time again, but we wholeheartedly hope you can feel with us and understand this painful decision. we also want to thank our whole crew as well as the local venue & hotel partner Valamar for staying with us through all of this.
so, now some GOOD news: we already have a new date:

most of you probably know the procedure already as we do it the same way. every room captain has received an email today with detailed information regarding the ticket transfer to August 2022 (swap/voucher/refund). after a deadline of 12 days, we are starting an early bird re-sale of leftover tickets. pls check your inbox.
