US fires missiles on N Korean Coast

The United States and South Korea on Friday fired missiles into the waters off the South Korean coast in a show of force to North Korea.
“Eighth Army and Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) military personnel conducted a second combined training event to exercise assets countering North Korea’s missile launch/nuclear test on July 29,” the Eighth U.S. Army said in a statement.
The United States and South Korea held a similar test on July 5 in response to North Korea's launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile on July 4.
The countries used the U.S. Army Tactical Missile System, a surface-to-surface missile, and South Korea's Hyunmoo Missile II, a ballistic missile, in the test.
