The remake of the popular Playstation video game "Final Fantasy 7" (1997) was planned to be released in 2017. The hype-train was on the roll when the second trailer came out on the 1st of April 2017 but a few hours later Totsuya Nomura opened up to the press about a hacking attack.
Apparently some files got corrupted and about three cutscenes have to be animated from scratch.
The new release date is estimated to be in early 2018.
